Throughout the centuries, Benedictine monasteries marked by a vision of peace, wholeness, and ecology have offered the witness of an alternative society governed by the Spirit of Christ.

O God, who made the Abbot Saint Benedict an outstanding master of divine service, grant we pray, that putting nothing before the love of you, we may hasten with a loving heart in the way of your commands. We ask this prayer in the name of the Triune God. Amen.
